They molest little boys and the ones that don’t try to hide the ones that do.
A very small percentage of them have done this. It’s around 4% which is about the same as the general population.
In other words, there’s no unusual infestation of pedophiles in the Catholic Church. It’s just an extra juicy news story whenever a Catholic cleric does get in trouble for that.

Per the Catholic Church, homosexuality in and of itself is not sinful. Acting upon said homosexuality, however, is.
Bunch of dinscru nuffins.

Did you just admit that the statistical number of Catholic priests that molest children is 4% or did I misunderstand the post?
Because if that's what you meant, (as in 4 out of every 100 catholic priests is a pedophile) I'm gonna question your judgement. That is an incredibly high number to admit to.
Edit - I would never be able to walk into church on a Sunday morning if I believed that 4% is the percentage chance that my priest was a pervert.

Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

4% is about the same as the general population. That means there’s an approximately 4% chance that any person you meet on a daily basis is a pedophile or sex offender of some kind.
Read the whole post and don’t take things out of context.

I would need to see the statistics to believe this.

You usually don't hear about them molesting little girls....

Well that’s it, I’m converting to one of the 4000 different Protestant denominations.
Just not sure if I want to follow the prosperity gospel, the charismatics or the lefty Methodists

The information in this thread is disturbing. I may have to renounce my Catholicism. I was an altar boy in grade school, glad the priest wasn’t a pedophile to my knowledge.

RA’d to have thread moved to moved to anti-Catholic lounge

Every denomination has its skeletons, just look at the baptists

Lol. This probably came from a gay college professor who is living in a fantasy world and trying to wish this into existence. What credibility does this moron have?
What a crock. I see that this professor is also “critical of conservative clerics in the Church”. Shocker
In other words, he’s just another lying leftist.

they think was the first Pope, but forgot to read the verse that tells you Peter was actually a married man.
St. Peter was married before he met Jesus. Married men can become priests.
Also, they’re not “trying to imitate Peter” as you put it. The Pope is believed to have inherited the authority and leadership role of Peter. It has little to do with imitation.

Being attracted to men isnt a sin
While this is a nice sounding platitude, designed to offer conscience easing compromise, it is false.
To look with lust upon someone is a sin. Jesus spoke about this. If I look lustfully at a woman I sin in my heart. Same applies with homosexuals.
