How do you guys pronounce this surname.

I knew two different people with that name and they pronounced it differently: (1) oh-coen and (2) aw-kwan. Just thought that was weird.

I made a baby with one of their female descendants. Those people go hard over some Cajun history.

The unspoken rule is to not ask about genealogy or Cajun history at family gatherings
