Limiting it to the United States, I'd split my time between Kauai and Lake Tahoe. There is no single place that I would want to limit myself to, and I would like some seasonal diversity.

California has some beautiful areas for sure. It's just too crowded IMO.

For sure. But it's also got sky high taxes, poor gun laws and assholes who dispose of their furniture in places where the view should be nice.

This is one of my favorite pictures from the Maldives. Doesn't capture the beauty of the water, but I think it looks cool.

Phuket Thailand. It's gorgeous there. The medical care is a fraction of the cost and just as good. Hookers are hot and 15-30 bucks. Massage is 15 a day plus happy ending included. Live in maid for 3 bucks a day. Fresh food on the streets are a a $1 a meal and you get portions. Everyone is super nice to you. Not to mention a steady stream of international tourists to hang with. Paradise

If I chose an island it would probably be St. John or Tortola just because of the proximity to so many islands.

I thought the area around Interlaken was incredibly beautiful and it has a smaller population.

Well that's just dumb. I went there a year ago and, shockingly, didn't see one riot

Greek Islands are unbelievable and a good choice. Athens is a complete shite hole and should be avoided at all costs.

Santorini is very touristy so living there might get old.

If you are still there, you should hike the Kalalau Trail along the Napali Cost. It's one of the best hikes in the world.

And what makes that worse is that I've done like 10 14ers and lived in Boulder for a decade and hiked trail after trail. I was there today and almost cried. But 1 of our companions is not a hiker so we decided to split the difference and spend it power rafting/snorkeling/eating copious amounts of shave ice.

A few places I've been. Bali, Greek islands, Belize, Costa Rica were all awesome. Too many places I haven't been to so I can't say.
