Is this the thread where we figure out everyone sucks?

Or at least everyone else?

I vote for auditors. Particularly IT auditor's, they don't actually understand anything about IT.

Medical Technologist (Lab techs with degrees) are tough to deal with. Been managing labs for years. Half are anarchists and half are malicious achievors. All are unhappy cause they are smart enough to be doctors but didn't want to go that route and think they are smarter than nurses, but really are not. Analytical to the nth degree and typically not attractive and either not married or unhappily married. Sour people.

That’s the most accurate description of the mentality of engineers that I’ve ever read. Well put.

I deal with this everyday. It’s annoying as hell. Also the majority of them can’t understand English worth a damn.

Engineers always claim it works on paper but when it comes to installing whatever it is to real world it goes to shite in a hurry.

I guess OP just couldn't cut the mustard in school and then obtain a PE license and is now just a glorified draftsman who must do as he is told by a real engineer with a PE.

We might be in a similar line of work.

One of the best decisions I ever made was to get off the "technical" track of software development and onto the "management" track. I don't miss that technical crap at all. Software development as a craft has been completely neutered by object-oriented programming, unit tests, garbage collectors, package managers, Scrum, etc.
