Moscona stepping down at Cristo Rey and heading to STM

We have young kids and we’re going the catholic school route. We’ve heard Moscona is the main reason Mercy has been on the up and up recently. We were considering STM before this news. What are yall’s thoughts and/or interactions with Moscona from Mercy and how will this move improve STM? TIA for any insight.

STM has a great young priest. They also have all the facilities they need. Adding Moscona to the mix will return STM to the glory it enjoyed in the 80’s and 90’s. The flood took its toll on the parish but its recovered nicely.
I’d send my kids there if I lived 20 in Baton Rouge.

His radio show sucks. Don’t think I’d base my kids education on what a local sports radio guy does.

Man, that’s a huge hit for Cristo Rey. STM may survive, though, with Alello and Moscona. That school was otherwise dying quickly.

Moscona likes being called principal just doesn’t like to do any of the responsibilities. The improvements at Mercy are thanks to the priest not him. There’s a reason he’s never at one place too long.

I agree. He was in way over his head at Mercy and left bc he thought the grass was greener elsewhere. He is a salesman, not an educator/principal/leader.

They are due to the priest and the support of the families. Moscona wasn’t at Mercy long enough to see anything through. Again, salesman.

That dude jumps around every year. It’s a bad look. I hear he has good ideas (from OLOM parent) but doesn’t follow through with them or put in the work to get them done. Great in an interview but not much substance.

Priest at Mercy is the best. You could say he looks like the vampire in Van Helsing. But he also looks and acts like he belongs in The Godfather. Really nice guy in person, if Mercy wasn’t so far from me I’d go there every Sunday
