Wouldn't it be kinda nifty to have more than one wife?

I think so. My wife says I can as long as she's ugly, likes to cook, clean, and watch kids.

Oh, and is celibate

With all due respect, but the Book of Mormon is one of the most confusing and difficult to parse out books I have ever (tried to) read. It's like religious science fiction.

Thanks for your responses. Henotheism is rather fascinating.

You're a brave man, having exposed yourself to this crowd. Perhaps one in one hundred will have a serious/respectful question for you to answer. But, surely you know this already. Good luck.

To the rest of you fricking assholes:

I'm not a Morman, but I've worked with a few and have spent some time in Salt Lake City. Generally speaking, in my experience, they're about the nicest and most industrious people you'll ever meet. They are EXTREMELY self-sufficient. They seem to enjoy helping other people, particularly other Mormans, and are unfailingly polite. They are not suckers in the business environment and they know how to make a buck. The world could use more people who behave themselves like Mormons.

Depends on which council has authority. According to the Mormons, they're Christian. According to non-Mormons, they aren't. Can't see that it matters.

Thanks for your kind words. I grew up in the Bible belt and dealt with other faiths my entire life.

I lost many a friend after Baptist revivals. I even had one tell me I was the coolest devil worshipper he knew.

I could only ask 'how many devil worshipper did he know??'

I AM aware that the Book of Mormon 'picks up' where the Bible leaves off and that you read both. And no, not like the miracles in the Bible. More like the planet Kolob and husbands having secret names for their wives in the afterlife/next life. And practices such as not allowing non-Mormons into the Temple, baptizing the dead, Temple garments and other such references. I am not trying to start an argument. I am simply trying to convey how some Mormon aspects look to the outsider, even to one who has read quite a bit on the subject and tried, but failed, to fully make it through the BOM.

I mean, is it really that much weirder than eating someone’s flesh and drinking their blood?

Which is probably why some denominations no longer see Communion as a literal thing but rather as a symbolic one.

Trust me, there's not much you can say that's gonna offend me. You are talking about the Docterine and Covenants as far as the stuff that goes on in the temple. That's kinda like the writings of the Mormon Prophets.

In a way, just think of it as the same as Catholic Dogma and traditions. (but for Mormons). Like the no alcohol or drugs.

And it's not just non Mormons who can't go into the temple. I'm not a very good Mormon, so I can't go either. So don't feel left out

I'm not Mormon but I really dig the underwear. Mormon underwear porn is my favorite.

Since Travis Alexander called Jody arias a three hole wonder, does that mean that most Mormon girls are not three hole wonders?

Bonus question. Men who dump a three hole wonder for a virgin should get the worst result that a religion can give. Do mormon’s believe that lake of fire he’ll is the worst result for a person?

There's quite a few Mormon chicks who believe the vagina is only meant for their husbands. But the other 2 holes are fair game. I've met a few while living in Provo.

Which is perplexing, because those 2 holes are usually off limits to their husbands

I know, you have to literally be a 'card carrying' Mormon. And you only get a card if the head of your stake says ok. I may be confusing the stake with a larger administrative unit.

We missed going inside the Washington Temple by one year. Before it was dedicated it was open to the public. It still has an out-of-this world (pardon the pun) Christmas light display.
