But DCFC is on streaming services and they charge for concert tickets. How are we to know just how sincere every artist is

Its in the music. If you can't tell, good for you. You can listen to almost anything.

Pop music is written for the maximum amount of money it can bring in, there's very little "art" involved.

Nothing wrong with pop music, as long as you realize its "fun party music" and not actual art.

How has a thread about such a "who gives a frick" topic made it this many pages? Jesus Christ, some of you have a lot to say about nothing...

Adam Hood seems appropriate here

Of course not. They were too popular for someone like you to like.

Master of Puppets was brilliant.

If I like 25% of a bands songs, I consider them a favorite. I'm not loyal at all, and pretty particular.

I don’t think I’ve ever come across someone that could be so accurately defined by the word “queef” in my entire life. Just absolutely overflowing with buzzwords and pompousness.

I was also a huge Metallica fan. Watch the documentary on Netflix and you can see how their art suffered under the pressure to create an album that would have commercial success. They took more than a year, two therapists and untold arguments. I can't remember if they ever made that album because it was painful to watch how soft Metallica had become.

If the band had gone to the bassist's ranch and ate some mushrooms, a few gummies and barbecued together without a camera crew, I have no doubt they'd have produced an album with at least a shred of credibility.

But yet you’ve been posting for like a dozen pages by now because of the musical opinions of other people…..

So clearly the opinion of others very much does matter to you. Manipulating you into one trap after another has been pretty entertaining fwiw.

Yep, commercialism destroyed the hell out of good bands.

Chicago Transit Authority was fantatic, but Chicago sucked.

The Commodores were once a Funk band, became an adult contemporary pop band.

I do respect Rush. Their record company was going to fire them if they didn't produce a more radio friendly album. They produced 2112, which was a big middle finger, and it was a commercial success despite the record company.

Most bands run out of good artistic material after 2-3 albums and go soft IMO. We used to call it "selling out."

You’re the Morgan wallen fan knighting for him and dismissing actual rock bands

As a teen I remember the angst when the Rolling Stones released "Miss You."

Aerosmith is up there with sell outs too. What happened to them in the 80s is abominable.

There you go using buzzwords again.

Once again…..show me where I’m white knighting for him. I’ve asked several times and no one can seem to find anything.

Also DCFC isn’t an “actual rock band”. They’re a band for scarf-wearing dorks who hang out at vinyl stores and judge everyone over their musical taste.
