You better watch it, all these bro country lovers get pretty testy when you can't tell the difference between any of their shitty favorite songs.

Late to this thread, but it honestly would have been more surprising if Morgan Wallen or any other pop country singer actually had the fortitude to perform a concert while hammered and/or hungover.

Have you seen the videos from Luke Bryan’s shows? Dude gets absolutely sloshed

Ah yeah, real country music fans only listen to Zach Bryan whine into the microphone

You’re still going at it in this thread.

You love some Morgan Wallen. I really wish he could see this thread and give you a little love. You deserve it.

He's got to be getting some sort of kickback. There's literally no reason to white knight for someone for that long that doesn't even know you exist

The expression Morgan called his friend, P.A.N., has been around for a while as part of masculine/macho culture.

I was first exposed to it in 1988 when 2 Live Crew released the actual song, aptly titled P.A.N., on their album Move Somethin'.
PAN 2 Live Crew

I'm no racist but I am pretty sure I've called a friend that expression at least 50 times since 1988.

Now I doubt Morgan Wallen has ever heard of that song or even 2 Live Crew, but the group undeniably injected the expression into Mainstream American pop culture.

The result 35 years later is dudes twice his age of all races are still using the expression to rag on friends, whether in the gym, at the bar, at a rope swing by a lake, or just drunkenly fricking around in the street(what Morgan was doing when he was caught on camera calling a friend a P.A.N.).

It’s funny how some people completely lack any sort of nuance. At absolutely no point in this thread did I ever say that I was a fan.

I don’t think I ever white knighted for him but you’re welcome to show me any other evidence.

I like how y’all have made it seem like this is my favorite band ever and the only music I’ve ever listened to I’ve seen them live once and they put on a good show. They write their own songs. They play their own instruments. They’ve been a band for 25 years. I listen to a lot of alt country, Americana, folk, punk, metal, hardcore, progressive rock and whatever other labels people want to put on bands.

But to compare ALL genres to bro country is ridiculous. The Nashville block of writers literally have focus groups to know what kind of songs they should be writing for specific demographics. It’s pandering 101 when it comes to these writers writing for these entertainers. Mainstream country has been this way for quite a while. It’s nothing new. That to me sets it apart from other factions of the music industry/business.

But hey, a catchy hook goes a long way and sells a ton of records/Spotify streams.

DCFC quite literally panders to a specific audience, you dork. The only difference is they write their own music that panders to a specific demo.

Frank is the type that also said the burning, looting, and murder was just reparations too.

I stand by my comment 100%. If black folks hate that word so much, maybe remove it from their vocabulary. It’s honestly them and white beta cucks that get offended by it.

Someone is angry that you don't like their pop artist.

You have to respect the current crop of suburban country rappers. They've paid their dues. 4 year old mercedes in high school and not a new one? Put that pain on paper!

You don’t understand what pandering is. Ben gibbard isn’t writing mad lib buzz word pop songs to generate revenue from streaming services and have his songs put into commercials.

This is a great example of what I’m trying to say:

Pandering country

Correct. The selective acceptance or hatred of the word is massive hypocrisy.

The N word in no way bothers black people. They use it constantly. They just don't want you using it.

What? It's the opposite. Pankreb is angry that others don't like his country pop artist.
