It's not like Florida is exactly faring well either. They're usually in the top 3 of average insurance cost.

Ours went up for $48 I think. We’re in vermilion parish and have sagesure.

Coverage went up a little as well. Adjusted for inflation I suppose. Deductibles all stayed the same.

I’m thanking my lucky stars. I was expecting the worst. It’s not cheap but at least it’s equivalent to last year.

Do we trust Newsweek when it’s bad news, or good news?

The same people who bitch about insurance costs also complain about zoning restrictions, flood control, climate policies, etc. Pick your poison.

Texas property tax doesn’t look so bad when you see what Louisiana is paying in insurance

Yes and too big

Just under 7k square feet. Getting ready to put it up for sale. Can’t afford to live here anymore. Too close to retirement to be spending that kind of money on insurance.

Don't worry. We'll fix that issue with more internet porn restrictions.

Nope having a good one, enjoying it. Somewhat worried about so many dullards that obviously take no stock in enjoying themselves...

Because you can’t afford it. South Florida is overpriced as shite.

Tampa isn’t that bad and neither is Sarasota. Median home prices of those places are only slightly higher than the national average.

The entire insurance industry is made up of POS crooks. Doesn’t matter if it is health insurance or property owners insurance, they are the scum of the earth.

I’m sure you would open a business that loses money. Most this board expects to be covered for absolutely and pay for nothing. All my companies in Mississippi that have opened in Louisiana have essentially gone bankrupt. You people don’t want insurance reform, builder codes, or to have companies actually follow the policies they write. You bitch about it at claim time.

I just laugh everytime I hear people say shite like it’s a scam or they hate insurance agents.

Life as an insurance agent is good these days, especially in FL
