If they do a half-assed job in verifying the funds and only pull her financial reports and verify balances, absolutely. But, if they do it properly, they should be requesting bank data from all of her accounts for the past few years. Then they would be able to track large transactions, and claw back any that were made to related parties within a specified time frame.
Been awhile since I had to look at the divorce/bankruptcy rules, but I think they look back 18 months to make sure people are not trying to hide assets.

Any reasonable sized jackpot is paid by hostess, and IDs are checked, recorded, etc

no telling on the laundering possibility as her paper trail of $$ will be thoroughly investigated. Alfortish was involved with a medical financing company (Medport) in Nevada. This company bankrolled medical treatment and surgeries for the plaintiffs involved with the truck driving accident scam. Motta would reimburse Alfortish / Medport after the cases settled.
In Dec. 2024, the LA Supreme Court immediately suspended Motta from practicing law on an interim basis.
Alfortish was permanently disbarred from practicing law back in 2014

The feds should be looking to see if anybody in her family/orbit has opened a safe deposit box or offshore accounts.
