Whole company where I work gets randoms - management, everybody. We do lots of work with the federal gov't.

I used to require drug tests on the farm. If someone passed, they didn't get to work for me. Being a square makes for a boring farmer.

Yea my job is like this, but I handle machinery every once in a while. So, while its not like I'm going to work stoned, one small mess up on a forklift, etc. (>500 dollars in damage) will result in a drug test.

Not trying to threaten my family's well being for Some occasional use

Random drug testing is BS but that's where we are. Courts will settle it eventually.

Yeah, I don't blame anybody that operates machinery not wanting to risk an accident.

I doubt it. A privately held firm reserves the right to test for whatever they want (except IQ, of course). It will come down to competition between firms, IMO, as well as on-demand THC intoxication tests rather than urinalysis.

This...and SCOTUS eventually ruling on behalf of the states. Can't have half the country where marijuana is legal in one way or another but the feds say otherwise. Times have changed.

A lot of jobs in the finance and accounting only require a drug test for employment. Once employed, they never test you again.

That's the case for my job, except you get tested if you're involved in a workplace accident (which is very unlikely).
