No idea. I dont think the people NASA answer to have very many anyway, so I doubt it matters who's actually doing the work.

A NASA spokesperson has admitted on interview that we have lost the technology on how to get safely to the moon. Deals with the van Allen belt radiation and safely traveling through it.

No, they have never said that. I defy you to find a source that actually says that

They need to explore Antarctica and the rest of the flat earth before we go to the moon. Hell there could be a portal that takes us to the moon there.

X - Buzz Aldrin on Conan
quote:

I have read random people posting this on the internet, but I’d like to see the exact quote from nasa. There’s no way they just “forgot” how or “lost” the technology. I’d wager it’s more like they don’t have the budget, or something.

Have you seen the clip of Buzz Aldrin on Conan ?
Conan said "I remember my parents waking me up and we went down and watched you guys land on the moon".
Buzz replied "No you didn't, you watched animation. There wasn't any television, there wasn't anyone taking pictures".

Buzz wasn't saying that they didn't go to the moon, but when people watched the moon landing they were watching animation.

Heads are exploding by people reading this and just now finding out that what they watched was merely animation.
People are so gullible.

Direct intent of courting a fight?
What does being a new member have to do with anything?

You do what we did in the Apollo missions. Transit near the poles where it's thinner. At those speeds we make it to the other side in a few minutes, but the astronauts still receive a full year's dose of radiation.

If you make a trip to the moon you have an increased risk of cancer. Swigert died of leukemia 12 years after Apollo 13.

Your two threads are questioning the moon landing and poking holes in the Sopranos, a very popular television show. Apparently not a bot, but definitely a troll, and probably an alter

The problem is the space aliens on the moon said, “Don’t come back or we will frick you up. Capeesh humans? This is our base and these are our raw materials on the surface. Now frick off!”

But all the people that knew that have died so the new crop is going back to kick the ant pile when they should not. It’s been nice knowing yall.

Dan Pettit at NASA said that they would go back to the moon in a nanosecond but the problem is that we don't have the technology to do that anymore.
We used to but we destroyed that technology and it's a painful process to build it back.

My wife's grandfather was an engineer at NASA during Mercury and Gemini efforts. He's now mid 90s and can still function with a slide rule. Very sharp man. Oddly enough his share cropping father didn't believe we landed in the moon, regardless of what his son did and told him.

ETA: he still works his little saw mill, works on his tractors but ALWAYS has 3 pens/pencils in his shirt pocket. Fits the stereotype to a T

That's not technology that is "lost" in the way people mean it when they say it. They mean that we couldn't do it if we tried, because we don't know how it was done. That quote is regarding technology we no longer keep around and would be, as you said, painful to build up again. Massive difference.

I would say it is more health safety and environment. Back in the day we killed astronauts left and right, not on purpose, but we didn’t stop programs because of it either.
