Damn the Gnome is slipping. This is the kind of story from Mecca David usually brings to the OT.

Also seems like a Darwin Award candidate.

Remember the guy a few years back who shot the mortar with the tube on his head? Killed him instantly with a cracked skull and bleeding out of every hole in his head.

Rip in piec hand.

FYI I think a 6’ piece of 2 7/8” pipe would provide more velocity and altitude for these fireworks. Also, increased safety for the shooter. shite I bet a t-post driver would work, too.

I saw an ordinary Roman candle explode like a stick of dynamite. Fortunately, it was propped in a wheelbarrow and not in the kid’s hand.

That wheelbarrow was clean as new after that. All the dirt and rust was blown out.

It’s amazing how much more powerful fireworks are today compared to 20 years ago. My house was rattling from all the neighbors shooting what felt like mini war rockets that send shockwaves though the neighborhood when they explode.

Not surprised it killed this guy.

The story gets more sad for the family. Early Saturday morning another member of this family was walking home on DeSiard St and was run over. Last I heard he had been airlifted to Shreveport and was bleeding from his brain, chest, and stomach.
