This right the frick here. I’ve been trying, mostly unsuccessfully, to slow down & be present. Mine are 10 & 7. They aren’t babies anymore. I’m realizing how fast we got here & have a good grasp on how it’s gonna go even faster from here. Watch them “do a trick” for the 70th time, lay with them for 10 minutes at bed time instead of saying goodnight. It’s all gonna be a blur soon and I just wanna be able to say that I did the best I could

We had inappropriate Elf on a shelf at work...???
It's all for fun.
If the older kids don't believe in Santa(which is this guy) and ruin it for the younger ones, then Santa gifts for them wouldn't be under the tree.
I still get gifts from Santa, and have an inappropriate nut cracker on a shelf...
Holidays can be stressful. Lighten up Francis

That sounds really funny and really really fricked up if you read it in a literal manner.

Is it so absurd? I think the majority of adults around the globe believe in one or more beings for which they have no proof of existence.
Tonight our elf is pigging out on tootsie rolls and tomorrow night he will lay down a nice tootsie roll deuce.

My twins still believed in the elf last year at age 9. This year they’re having fun setting up the elf at night for their little 4 year old sister.
I think age 9-10 is pretty much as far as you’d want to take it.
That being said… I have a coworker who’s daughter was age 12 and in 6th grade last year who still believed in it. She even asked the dad “I don’t understand why is his cap sewn to his head”. That seems kind of old to me. She would be 13 this year. I can’t possibly imagine they’re still using it this year, but we haven’t discussed it.

My wife and I are taking it as far as it takes our girls to realize it’s not real, and we’re pretty confident our 11 year old has caught on. But she hasn’t said anything to ruin the fun for her little sisters. Like the POS OP wants to do.

The whole idea of playing tricks on your children just because they are naive and stupid seems pretty fricked up. I always believed in Santa pretty hardcore as my parents and whole family would always act like it was real. Then you see them talking about it on the news and then you realize how fricked it is as a kid when you find out all the adults lied to you and the other kids. I guess they did it for the luls?
