Let's all be honest here, if these progressive SJWs had their way, this would start happening in the US. It's sad to think people can be jailed for something so miniscule.

Interesting take. I never went to jail there. Simply not breaking the law wherever you are usually prevents jail time.

She is grown. She knew the law there. She broke it, and is possibly going to jail. It is a pretty simple thing to figure out. There are laws here that I don't like or don't agree with, but that alone does not prevent me from being prosecuted if I violate one of them.

If you're going to spend time abroad, it would behoove you to study up on how to stay out of trouble there first. When in Rome...or Dubai or Sharjah or wherever...

This law has nothing to do with committing a crime while actually in Dubai. She was charged over a facebook post from 2 years ago. I guarantee you could be arrested there on these same charges over something you've said on the OT. Your attenpts to make yourself seem cultured have just made you seem extremely stupid.

It is your right to isolate yourself and limit your exposure to other cultures and places. I won't try to sway you

Your double standard is breathtaking sir.

You insult him and insinuate he is small-minded while inadvertently supporting a country that jailed a woman for a past Facebook post committed outside their country. That's just a whiff of their justice system.

Please continue making your case on why you believe this woman committed a crime.

What’ll be your excuse when they come for you?

I’m always afraid that something I post on here will get me thrown in Jail every time I go to the UAE

Wood, not. If the new wife is truly uglier than her...bleh. I'm sure the pic in op is not her best, but she looks kind of manly there.

According to the article, she made the posts while she was in UK, NOT Dubai.

That's like I go 100 in a 55 in Mississippi in 2016 and I get arrested for breaking German traffic laws while living in Hamburg in 2018.

No one has suggested it’s not their house or rules.

I will. Freedom of a speech is a fundamental human right, endowed by our creator. Kings don't give us our rights, we are born with them. Laws can't give us our rights, they only may restrict the government from infringing upon them.

The egregious harm done to this woman and her daughter just to curtail speech isn't rules, it's tyranny.
