Imagine making yourself sick to possibly prevent yourself from possibly getting something that would likely make you less sick than what you got the shot for in the first place.

It really is amazing the thought process of people.

My family had it. My son and I had zero symptoms. My wife and daughter and light cold symptoms for a couple of days and then ended up losing taste and smell for a week.

That’s it.

But it still makes no sense why anyone thinks the vaccine is more effective than the actual virus.

Had both shots, the second last Monday.
No issues other than injection site soreness.
No worse than any other injections.

The 2nd one kicked one aunt, and a few of my friends' butts. The first one didn't bother them. I asked my dad to ride with me to take my second one, in case I had problems. It didn't faze me.

Why in the world would you get the vaccine if you’ve already had COVID?

You're probably correct. Had the OP contracted Covid they may have had a very difficult time fighting it. He's a prime example as to why everyone should be vaccinated.

And, there's something out there in the world that will eventually find your weakness, too. It will knock that smugness right out of you. But, you can be e-tough until that time.

I had my 1st Pfizer shot on Good Friday. No ill effects whatsoever. I hear that the 2nd one is worse though. I get that on the 23rd. We will see.

We've handled the successions of five people who died of it in the past year, including a husband and wife who died within a day of each other. I know of several more who were very sick. All the ones who died were old and/or had underlying conditions, as did most of the ones who had severe illness. A couple, however, didn't have anything discernibly wrong with them and still got significantly ill.

Most people, (including me) shook it off with no symptoms or nothing to be too concerned about. It is deadly to a non-trivial number of people, though. You can argue against some of the draconian measures and you'd have a good argument. But saying that it's a minor illness diminishes that argument.

I took both shots from Pfizer and didn't get side effects on either. I found this strange though considering everyone else I know who took Pfizer got side effects especially on second shot. Considering how disorganized CVS was and didn't even mark my vaccine card for a second dose when I got it(not to mention apparently thinking I didn't have an appointment) it's making me wonder if they fricked up freezing my doses so I basically got nothing.

I'm thinking CVS was trying to cover their arse as they didn't mark my card with a lot number like the first one. The pharmacist for my second shot was a complete dumbass 20-something that I could hear him in the back asking how do I get this off his account and mark him for second dose?

Question: was one of the side effects mouth pain? Like you’d burned your tongue?

(Cue jokes about what I’ve been doing with my tongue)
