Dude the only women that are saying this shite are the ones that are poor AF themselves. A career woman isn't looking for a sugar daddy. They'd probably prefer you be on their level but they aren't expecting 300k a year.

the laws of energy are the same with or without kids and without or without hormones. hormones do not create energy nor store it.

This is a multi-faceted issue, but the root cause is an increase in materialism, jealousy, and coveting what your neighbor has.
Its the result of bad parenting, lack of moral fiber, and everyone telling every child that they can be whatever they want to be and do whatever they want to do with no consequences.
You don't roll out of bed and get handed a $500,000 per year job and a million dollar house, unless you're the Kardashians.

The only women I see saying this are getting interviewed on South Beach or some trash nightlife area. Those videos get circulated and suddenly all women want what they were talking about.

Most guys that achieve mid to high six figure incomes do it with a good woman already with them.

This is largely a product of how people tend to grow up now and how people manage themselves in college.
Everyone wants a ready made life with a house, nice cars, vacations, etc. Without any grind.
Used to be a good woman was a part of your journey up the income/career ladder, but now you go up the ladder and the purchase the most expensive woman like a prostitute.

This is a gross oversimplification, but: we met in college and dated for 5 years before getting married, we were having problems while I was still in law school, she started drinking a lot but kept it secret, I tried to suggest counseling or therapy which she refused, she recommended I get tested for fertility issues which I resisted before eventually relenting, turned out she was right and I had inherited a genetic defect from my father that made getting her pregnant the old fashioned way incredibly unlikely, she tried to stab me among various other instances of extreme physical abuse bordering on attempted murder, she cheated on me, and then she divorced me (she got the house and the dogs) so she could marry the guy she was cheating with, they’re still happily married with a kid, and I had to reboot my life from scratch, which I was just starting to do prior to Covid. Been kinda bouncing around random relationships ever since. Kinda hard to do serious relationships when I know it probably won’t lead to kids, and I don’t want to be a stepdad (tried it, hated it).

I think most of these bitter guys are either too shy to get a date or have dated mostly Hooters girls.

Am I mistaken or has the OT become increasingly pessimistic about the reality of modern American women/ dating ? We never had these threads 10 years ago. Or even more recently than that.

I think part of it is the age of the OT has increased significantly over the last 10 years, and part of it is that dating culture has gotten noticeably worse, and not just a little bit worse.
10 years ago, it seemed like the majority of the OT were dudes in their early 30’s who were recently married or just started having kids.
Now, the majority seem to be guys in their late 40’s/early 50’s who are either married with teenage children or divorced.
