The name Spiro originates from Greek and is derived from the word spyridon (or Spyros), meaning "basket" or "grain". It is an Anglicized form of the Greek names Spyridon and Spyros, which are common in Greek-speaking populations and honor the patron saint of Corfu, Saint Spyridon. The name can also be associated with the Latin word spirare, meaning "I breathe," or the Greek word for "spirit".

I don’t know how Mobile has managed to avoid the fate of most largish southern cities, but I’m here for it. New Orleans, Jackson, Montgomery, Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville take notice.

Baton Rouge did the same.

Unfortunately his entire agenda is hijacked by the fact that he has to solve for a massive and catastrophic budget issue left by his incompetent predecessor. Like that will define his entire term.

I know he has a lot of shite to clean up that was left over from Broome, but Sid Edwards has really done nothing of note (good or bad) since being elected.

Same in Shreveport.

For a white guy (republican) to get elected they have to enter in to 4,000 dope deals with the other side to get elected. They cant do anything substantial.

Never happen with Nashville. The libs are entrenched and just getting stronger. You should see their joke of a mayor.

I just hope.
They continue to move forward.
Downtown.
And brookley field is booming right now.

I still do not understand why they don't include daphne and fairhope in the metro population.
But new orleans claims the north shore.
