Um slavery ? Lynchings? Raping black men and women? Using them as sex slaves? Repeated physical, mental and emotional abuse? Keeping them away from
An education?

They were terrorists in every sense of the word. No different than ISIS to me. Anti American and they enfringed upon our ideals. Good riddance, have fun under that tarp PT, Jefferson David, Lee and the rest of those losers

Dumbest thing you've said yet. You think everyone should have just let Hillary win? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you.

Who does "whitey" answer to exactly?

this statue has been an issue for decades.

Do you even know where it is? Its back in a corner at the end of Canal behind a 30' tall concrete wall. You had to go way out of your way to see it and even then it wasn't very noticable.

So all slave states were composed of terrorists?

So tell us. As a pale white youth, how do you identify with all this?

Do you think they should put up a statue of a famed Freedman or Slave or of an Abolitionist. I'm ready to start the list.

We're talking about American history, not modern day African muslims.

Not only this, it memorialized BOTH sides of the Battle of Liberty Place, because men fought and died on BOTH sides of this issue. This one was about the "Carpetbagger" as in outsider government, or the Federal authorities in New Orleans well AFTER the Civil War.

Dude, they had this on the statue

"United States troops took over the state government and reinstated the usurpers but the national election of November 1876 recognized white supremacy in the South and gave us our state."

I am fine 100% with the removal of this monument
