I won't just single out a pit here given the situation but I don't understand why some people would never fight for their life. Especially over an animal, a dog of any breed.

The biggest thing that made me shake my head is that she had control of one of the dogs still on a leash yet she kept taking it over to the guy trying to grab the other one. She could have easily tied it to one of the two trees that was next to him and eliminate one from the equation.

I am actually shocked that the person walking them was a woman, it looked like a man in the video to me.

Anyone else see that she had been arrested 37 times in the last 18 years? But it is ok because they were mostly drug charges and everyone seems cool with that. And apparently one of the dogs bit someone last year. This is why if you are bit by a dog you should report it to a cop and let them deal with it.

My ex worked at animal control for two years and this is 100% incorrect. People who hurt animals rarely get more than a fine

So let's make them illegal to own, that way they can be strays, reproduce rapidly, forage through trash in a city, and really do some damage.

you think if they were made illegal, all the pits owned by people would just be set free?

Everyone's (or his dad's, auntie, or Lil cuzin) pit bull is docile and merely a protector of the family. That's why we keep seeing these videos. Trashy dog catering to trashy owners.

There was a time when a pitbull was a family pet. All the breeding in the last 50 years wiped that out. Now you have a stupid dog that might kill or maim someone.

None of this is true.

The breed was developed for blood sport centuries ago.

Owning a "Break Stick" and knowing how to use it should be pre-requisire for all Pit owners. Even if you think they would never attack. I bet the large majority of Pit owners have no clue what a Break Stick even is.

This, their instinct to fight/kill is the same as that of a Beagle's instinct to chase a Rabbit. I raised Pits 35 years ago, before they were a fad to own. They made great catch dogs and protectors of the farm and are loyal as frick. But when I started having kids, I quit owning them.

Not one person in that video should own a dog. Not one of them knows the first thing about how to handle them. Could have been much worse.

If you own a pit bull, you are ghetto/trash. Bottom line. There is zero need for a pit bull unless you hunt hogs. Other than that, the breed should be eradicated.

And jesus why did that go on for so long. There was what 10-15 people out there? Kick the shite out of those dogs. They let them run that whole situation.

You can beat a pit over the head with a 2x4 and he's not going to let go once he's enraged and attacking.

They begin life as

And low life TPOS turn them into this

The dogs are dangerous weapons and trash owners should be held responsible for their dogs actions.

I've been around a lot of pits. Some are gentle and non aggressive and some are just plain aggressive and dangerous. Either way it's a breed that you can't fully trust 100% of the time.

Straddle dog and squeeze hard behind ribs, grab scruff of neck, apply break stick between teeth, pry open jaws and pull back keeping stick firmly between upper and lower teeth. By lifting dog he has no leverage.

Now, more than one dog to control is a major problem.........
