It sounds like these students unwittingly robbed themselves of a professor who actually gives a shite about their education

This group of players came to him after that had made the decision to walk out. His whole brand at Mizzou is built around family. If he didn't support them, at least publicly, he'd be labeled a racist and never recruit a black player again. He did what he thought was the best thing to do at that point, which was publicly say he supported their right to take a stand - not that he agreed. This whole thing is a freaking nightmare.

It's not his job to play favorites though - his job is to coach. This isn't a f'ing Selma moment for god's sake. Even by doing the "right thing", it will cost him in terms of recruits.

Pressure from outside agitators will be enormous on many of those players to not play. I suspect that Missouri will cancel the game as events move forward.

The shitstorm that would cause would be epic. We're talking about breaching multiple contracts, loss of $$$$$$$, fines, etc.

They need to cancel class for 2 weeks, make a curfew, directly order all faculty and employees to stay off of social media, lock down all the buildings on campus, and let people get this out of their system.

Then tack on this missed time during their Christmas break. This isn't a vacation. Its an institute of higher learning.

I would like to add extra minutes to class times after a break. That was exactly what was done in EBR for schooldays after Hurricane Lily.

"Some of our players are very concerned for the events that are taking place on campus and I can understand their passion for important events on campus. We are excusing them from practice for a few days as they feel strongly about participating in the protests. I am a football coach and my team has a game to get ready for on Saturday. We will be conducting voluntary practices. When those players are ready to rejoin practice, we will happily welcome them back."

What a little bitch. Hope he gets his arse fired.

Arrest her. Inciting violence and encouraging the murder of others based on race. Hate crime.

Ever watch news footage of shithole countries or ww2 news reels and ask yourself how people get suckered into believing a cause or a movement or ask yourself how those in power are able whip people into a frenzy? I think it's obvious now that people don't actually need proof before they believe anything. It took a few tweets from a supposed black student leader and twelve hours later people are still convinced the klan is running loose on campus. Even with no proof despite living in an age where everything is photographed people still believe. Even those that want proof are willing to accept pics from 1978, knowing the pics are almost 40 years old.
