Mississippi cops using kids for pot busts

Can you repost this in English?

I'm sure this is happening in say, every other state to some degree.

Mississippi is squarely Number Fifty but give it a rest.

cops with this much time on their hands need to be demoted to crossing guards or something like that find em something to do during the day lol

And a thousand bucks to an attorney, 40 to 80 hours of picking up trash, a few hundred bucks for classes... While you're on probation.

Exactly. There was a 60 Minutes piece on this tonight. One of the LEO interviewed did his best to downplay all of the grants and money given to these agencies for all of the minor arrests that are a result of CI's.

Also showed how they pick up minor drug dealers (selling <$50 of weed) and overcharge them, only to give them probation and/or immunity if they agree to do big sales with a wire (heroin, cocaine, etc), even if they have never been involved in heavy sales. A lot of them were subsequently killed. Works for all parties, the dealers are expendable, and the popo didn't need to use real officers.

Penalties include a fine of $100 to $250.
