It’s a tragedy that this girl died either accidentally or by suicide but Big Brother ain’t the answer. Wouldn’t have prevented it that’s for sure.

Exactly. All these people wanting cameras everywhere thinking that solves anything is scary.

So what if they know what happened? You think the family cares if she jumped versus being murdered? Yeah, sure, someone goes to jail if she was murdered and it was filmed, but at the end of the day, their daughter is still gone.

The best cameras in the world aren't changing that.

I think the family would definitely want to know if she jumped vs. if she was killed by another person. Kind of a crazy thing to say

Those cameras are already all over the place and have been used to solve multiple crimes for over 10 years.

You’re a little late on this freak out.

You’re right, cameras wouldn’t have changed the outcome but as a father, I can’t imagine sitting in bed at night going through a living hell imagining if my daughter, thr girl who completely melts my heart the instant we make eye contact, the light of my eye and only girl in the world to have ever made me put BOTH my wife and mother on the back burner a bit in terms of love (and I don’t say that as a bad thing), is holed up somewhere being raped or held captive in some human trafficking ring. I just can’t imagine what it would be like to be in that state of mind for a week or more. No way in hell would I survive that. It literally would kill me. I’d have wanted to know from the get go if she jumped or if someone took her for peace of mind knowing that at least she died right away and is no longer suffering.

You're waiting for a formal identity of the body found yesterday which may be your daughter and you have to stop to warn folks about scams related to the matter. That's a darn shame.

Huh?? Of course, they care. Sadly, I feel like it was a suicide. But if it was a situation where it wasn't and she was murdered or something like that, everyone (especially the family) would want justice for her and would want to capture the person that did it so some other innocent girl was not killed. Or even if someone had accidentally hit her on the bridge (which would have been more likely), knocked her over and just left the scene, you would want the person responsible held accountable.

Big brother is not the answer to everything, but a camera recording certainly would have provided a high level of clarity as to what happened to this girl.

Bingo.

Homicide, the issue never ends. Questions always exist, there is no closure. That trauma trumps any.

Damn I hate it but at least her parents can get some sense of closure. Maybe. Many prayers for them for sure.

To me cameras aren't big brother. You are public anyway. How much privacy do you expect?
