So per WAFB, “the registered owner of the vehicle was not contacted”. I guess the car wasn’t hers or registered to her, which would explain somewhat the delay in notifying her family.

I wonder if BRPD turfed this over to LSU PD and that’s why everything seems to have taken so long to get rolling?

Daily Mail has news that dogs have twice, separately lead their handlers to a specific part of the Mississippi River.

to the same part of the river I'm guessing? I guess they're probably trying to figure out how to search that area. I wonder if bodies in the river is more common than we think and there is a chance it's a different cadaver from some other incident.

Cajun Navy posted a video of the river this morning on Facebook. It looks pretty treacherous. I don't know how to post the video here, but the link to it is below.

Seems worse since it's so high.

Is there a connection between that case and this one?

True.

It does get much worse when the water is higher too; USCG has restricted traffic before due to the current. I remember 20-30 years ago that there was more than one incident of barges making the bends a little faster than anticipated and hitting the old bridge in one high water event.

For the purposes of the search, I imagine there's more complexity with having partially submerged trees and docks that have to be searched now.

Any more Intel on why the boyfriend was so uncooperative and didn't attend any "vigil", meetings with family or the cops? This is just what has been posted in the thread days ago so if I'm wrong, I'll correct it.

.

I haven’t seen anything indicating he was not cooperative. Not sure if he attended anything. I’m not sure I would in his situation and we don’t know if the family didn’t want him there. Many unknowns.

She was fighting with him that day, right? Maybe friends and family are pissed off at him(irrationally blaming him).

The brother tweeted that he hasn't shown up to any of the efforts to look for her.
