my friend's brother (29 yo) jumped off that bridge in 2000. He lived in Luling and Kenner, chased by demons, he said Fk it and jumped
Well where did they recover him? Or did they?

Yes it’s extremely sad to piece it together. I’d guess she kept going back and forth westbound and eastbound on the bridge because she was waiting for a time for traffic to be clear. Hence no one saw anything. Also probably contemplating everything. Horrible
My thoughts exactly.

This sounds more than plausible

Sadly, that could fit. If she was looking for a break in traffic, it would make sense that she would break hard, get out of the car quickly without turning it off and jump.
I know of a woman who did pretty much the same thing except not over water. She stopped at a high point on the interstate over road and ground, jumped out of the car and dove off the wall to her death. Her 6 year old was in the back seat on the iPad and thankfully didn’t see her jump. Car pulled up behind her just as it happened and those folks stayed with the child. Tragic.

I’m just thinking the about the poor girl and her mental state,
Why do people assume she was mentally ill? Have they said this?
Posted on 4/10/21 at 7:33 pm to Lester Earl
I don't think anyone said she was mentally ill..... Just gad a fight with her BF and was a distraught teen in a despondent mental state....

So why is the assumption suicide & not foul play

Why do you care so much about this?

This is my 4th post in a 17pg thread. Weird question

Just a very, very sad story. Can't imagine what her poor family is going through.

my take:
the 2x double-back means there was another influence changing her mind: needed gas, forgot her wallet, fighting and/or making up with bf, hitchhiker, or someone got in that car with or without her knowing and attacked her, etc.
if i’m going to jump off a bridge, i’m not bothering to bring my wallet - maybe my phone if i wanted to type out a goodbye or scroll through photos and maybe make my last few calls. but even then... i would have done that earlier. not moments before i jump while standing on the bridge. nor would i snapchat my cousin telling them i was coming to visit.

Of all the things Lester is guilty of and worthy of getting pissed off about, caring so much about this thread is the least valid. I hadn’t even noticed one of his post in here.

I mean maybe she was mentally ill
But I think it is equally plausible that she was killed elsewhere & someone staged the scene on the bridge

Not that I’ve seen. Don’t even know how upset she was over the fuss with the boyfriend.
Her father made an interesting statement, though.
quote:
Gauthier said what kept him going was the thought of his daughter. He said, “Just knowing that that’s my little girl out there somewhere.” He let one message to parents all around. “My advice to parents is to pay attention to your kids. Read the signs. If you’ve been through certain things that they haven’t paid attention to those and trust yourself, and look into it, look into your kids.”

So you want them to shift resources from searching the river to searching everywhere else?
Posted on 4/10/21 at 8:22 pm to WestSideTiger
I mean if she’s in the river they aren’t finding her alive. She’ll wash up sometime soon

SIAP
