Damn. It's Hail Mary time at this point. Feel bad for the families getting news that doesn't pan out.

The lead Coast Guard guy said they are at the point of having to make a decision to call off the search. Stated the likelihood of finding them with each passing day diminishes greatly.

Truly disappointed. The buoy sighting was probably the last best hope of finding them alive. Prayers for the boys and the families.

Sad story.

Kids should not have been out there in the first place. Weather was terrible last Saturday in central Florida. I was in Orlando. This was not a freak storm out of nowhere. Parents should have kept them in.

Kids should have had electronic emergency beacons. If my kids ever take the boat out they will have 2 of them. One on the console and one attached to their shorts.

Kids should not have left the boat after it capsized. Stay with the boat!!!!! #1 rule. Don't leave the boat!

Lots of screw ups here.

If they thought it was plausible they were actually in that buoy shot, would CG really be calling off the search?

I assume no ships were near the buoy? That would have had to be an aircraft only search out there. If that was truly the boys at that buoy the search over the last day or two would have been concentrated too far south also it seems.
