The story would have ended differently: Pit Bull fights off coyotes and bears, unwilling to share his meal.

An old girlfriend of mine had a couple of those dogs to protect the farm animals, they were the sweetest laid back dogs but their senses were like magic. They would often tear off into the darkness when the coyotes starting getting close and eventually they would return home covered in blood. Rarely did we need to take them to the vet for injuries. What a great story.

The single best dog I have ever owned was an Anatolian/Great Pyrenees…Baxter. He was laid back, chill, loved his people and our other pets. He had a switch in him that flipped the second he thought there was danger around…I would not have wanted to be on the wrong side of that. He used to lay on top of the patio table on our deck because it was the highest spot in our back yard and gave him the best view of the area.

100% they will frick anything’s world up if it is messing with its cattle. It’s pretty impressive.

This is correct. Last year one killed something like 8 coyotes before it was too injured to continue.

I have one of these dogs and I love her. She is so good to the neighborhood kids and loves my little boy - all of them are her flock as we don't have livestock. She follows them into the woods when the go for firewood.

You dog worshippers are weird. That dog did a great job. Hats off to that dog. But stop acting like these animals are perfect. They are pets.

We have an Anatolian that is a working LGD over our goats, these are amazing dogs and this story does not surprise me, they will protect “thier own” at all costs including death to themselves
