Yes, the cop was wrong to knee him in the neck but does anyone really believed he intended to kill the guy in the middle of a public street just because he was black? Let's say he is a violent racist cop, he still understands the legal and public shitstorm that would come his way for the rest of his life if he killed the guy, especially on camera. The cop used poor technique and decision making, but I doubt he had any intent to really hurt the guy or "murder" him. With that said, he still deserves years in prison from what I have seen so far.

I already stated in this thread that RogerShrubber probably said it best that we could do is to change our crime laws. So, that’s the best I can say at the moment. And for the record, I also stated I couldn’t defend this cop’s actions.

What are you talking about? I’m asking besides film and tell the cops to get off his neck, what exactly should the people filming do? The post I responded to inferred that they should’ve done more to help instead of “trying to go viral”

Millions of interactions daily, some combative...you're going to have instances like this, a few that don't go optimally. If people think this type of thing will ever be rooted out completely, you're wrong. You'll keep seeing videos/stories, doesn't mean the rate of occurrences are going up or down. The solution is simple. Every squad car has two cops, one white and one black. Suspect's color gets handled by same color cop. Now race has been removed.
