Well I tell people all the time. The street isn't for fighting what you may think is some injustice that has occurred. Fight it on court. No one gets hurt. In the street, we will always win. Fighting it in the street result in more charges and usually a visit from EMS.
"Let me violate your constitutional rights immediately. If you disagree, we will kill you. Please handle all perceived rights violations in a lengthy, expensive court process. Thank you, citizen."

Well don’t commit crimes... it’s pretty simple.

Why would the family hire the attorney that represented the families of Michael Brown and Traveon Martin ? He LOST both cases
I think you know why.
I also think you know the family will not pay one penny out of pocket for this attorney’s services. They will actually have more wealth after this trial and media event than they did before.

Explain why it was necessary to kneel on his neck for minutes after he is handcuffed
don't want him to get up and run as they wait for a vehicle with a proper cage to arrive to transport him to jail

In the street, we will always win.

Kneeling on the neck to gain compliance of a combative suspect is common practice. The goal isn't to kill him but to get control of his hands for restraint purposes.
then it would appear that he failed

What does this even mean?
The guy did get hurt, how can he fight it in court right now?
The question is, why is it necessary to kneel on his neck for so long after he has been restrained? I can understand if you need to do that to get the guy under control initially. But the cop is looking around like he’s bored with his hands on his hip while concentrating all his weight on the guys neck.

Just like we shouldn’t believe all women
We shouldn’t defend all cops.

There would be a lot less excuses for the cop in this thread and a lot of “yeah but CNN doesn’t talk about this!” Posts instead

With cuffs on?
Kneel on his back.
fricking taser him if he gets up.
Hell hit him with a night stick if he gets up.
What makes you think he was going to get up and run? He was obviously squirming because someone was on his neck and he couldn’t breathe. That doesn’t mean he’s going to run.

Meh. As I cop I'll defend these cops. As others have said. STOP frickING RESISTING. If you comply nothing will happen to your dumb arse. Not to mention that if I have put my hands on you, its highly likely you've done something to bring me to your location. Usually you acting like a complete jackass. I got better shite to do, like sitting under the shade tree playing on my phone or watching YouTube. And yeah if you can scream that you "cant breath" you are breathing you stupid frick. Act like a civilized human being and it wont require me to thump your stupid arse.
turn in your badge rambo
the guys that used to give you wedgies in high school are long gone.

I mean, was there nothing in that big arse SUV they could have used to help restrain him?

simple answer...
I'm assuming he ended up in this position because he ran and they caught him
so he's immediately a flight risk again... so knee in the spine for you
oh... and people with cuffs on do still run... did you not see what happened in WBR on Friday's Live PD episode?
I'll let you know... a cuffed suspect tried to run

A result of too many laws and over regulation. Cut the need for cops by limiting the role of government.
Probably the smartest comment in this thread. People resist because they don’t want to go to/ back to jail. End the stupid “crime bills” and see if this type of same old events decline.
