Looks more like a police issue than a race issue.
But that doesn't get clicks or votes.
So, get on board with the death then. Period. This shitbag killed a man. If you don't want it to end with political outcry, don't blame the victim. Blame the shitbag.

Stop being a p@ssy. There are bad seeds in all professions. For the most part cops are working for John Q. Buts it’s a low paying profession that has its share of mouth breathers that make poor decisions but it’s a stretch to state that all cops are not on your side.

Is it though? Cops don’t give a frick about the general public from my experience.
For the most part, cops are fricking idiots that do not have a true understanding of the letter nor the spirit of the law.
Police becoming more and more militarized as we have seen in recent years do nothing to quell my beliefs that they are not for the people and instead becoming more and more the jackboots of the government. The founders knew and understood that police are freedom takers, not freedom preservers.

It’s a job. Laws exist for a reason and they are paid to enforce them. So I guess my point is if you fundamentally agree that laws generally exist to protect the public then its fair to say that cops would be on your side. Maybe you think you are above the law?
Now whether they are qualified to do their job and at times negligent is a different discussion.

I guarantee you that over half the laws on the books today are not to protect the public. They may have been sold in such a way but they are not.

See how stupid your 'logic' is?
My god what a terrible analogy. Look man, I don’t get much exposure to cops other than a speeding ticket every couple of years because I generally obey laws. And when I do get pulled over I’m not a dick, accept the fact that I was speeding, take my ticket and move on.
I’ll respectfully step away from this thread so you guys can keep beating your chests about how the cops are out to get you and maybe come up with some solutions to save us from all of these vicious cops.

Well, I am sure that the cop in the Minneapolis police department worked under a conservative Republican Mayor and City Council full of Republicans and that the Governor was a conservative Republican. And the chief of the department must be a racist, white Republican.

That’s one of the biggest issues I have with police. They are nothing more than revenue collectors for the state.

No doubt it is a police department issue. But I can understand how a black person see this as a race issue as well since interactions with cops and black people tend to go south more than interactions with white folk.

Proof? Evidence? Or did the media tell you that?

Haven't read all the pages, but it was murder. Plain and simple

You mean other than the dead black killed by the cop?

Not really, today most cops have been in the military, or are special forces wannabes. They approach police work with a us vs the enemy mentality. In a interaction they are not there to protect and serve, you are considered guilty of something until all avenues to find something illegal are exhausted.

Trump issuing the DOJ and FBI to investigate, these officers will get life or something close, good on the President
A toxicology report on Floyd would be interesting, if anything in his system exacerbated his respiratory distress - nevertheless what kind of person he was, whether upstanding contributor to society or thug welfare bum - the police had a responsibility to subdue him, and then make a proper arrest - they failed
The police acted out of order after staying on the man’s neck after he was down, their jobs come at high risk, but also have a responsibility to the person’s wellbeing they arrest. Most police are not egotistical pigs. Creating the narrative they are, only adds fuel to the fire.
The narrative of black vs white, cop vs black, Trump vs minorities, etc... is unintelligent and does nothing more than cause more hate and more strife, people need to step back and analyze from a holistic view of what happened. The onlookers and recorders of the video seemed to be more interested in getting the scoop (adding fuel to a hatred fire) then acting on the officers, why didn’t they intervene if they were concerned and fight the repercussions in a courtroom
The police officers acted out of the line of duty, and should receive years to life in prison, or death penalty for the cop on Floyd’s neck
For the looters and burglars that use this incident as an opportunity to steal and tear up stuff, they once again do nothing but cause more hate and strife, - call in national guard or whomever and arrest them

I always ask this question to back the blue types...why? Do you feel as if they’re on your side?
No I think it’s a shite job with shite pay that I believe the vast majority go into because they truly want to help people, same as teachers and firefighters. Why else would anyone sign up for that as a career? The fact is we need police officers, but the bad/evil police officers need to start getting prosecuted and all the good police officers need to be the first people in line to demand this because they make them look bad.

You get a lot more power as a cop than a teacher or firefighter.
Not the same at all.
