Minimum wage battle is going to destroy small businesses!

IMO, it's not the amount of minimum wage that's the problem, but we've produced a lazy population of bums that want the government to bail them out so they can continue doing nothing.
Please don't use Covid as an excuse, because I think that excuse has run its course. The only thing raising minimum wage will accomplish is it will finally euthanize all small businesses and open the door for more big businesses which is never good.
I have several friends that own small businesses and they all say the same thing, it's not the wage that's the problem, but they simply can't find people who want to work and that's sad.
This country was built on small businesses and it will always play a vital role in our economy and just throwing money at the problem isn't going to solve a thing. The depressing part is we have an idiot president that can't remember his name half the time and when he's cognizant his main goal is to fill the pockets of relatives, not help all Americans.

It is amazing watching leftists do an about face when it comes to crushing small businesses for those big, evil corporations.
Then again, they now shill for big pharma, big government, and the MIC, so you realize it isn't about what is good for anyone. Just "what is will make my political enemy mad".

What do you suggest as the alternative that will provide a livable wage for folks while also not folding small businesses?

frick the concept of a living wage. Get a skill that makes you worth whatever you need to live. Move somewhere cheaper or get better credentials if you want to live someone where expensive.
It's no society's responsibility for every person in the country to e able to live alone off a minimum qualification job.
