It has undeniable cognitive benefits to the point of "curing" anxiety or concentration problems. Also, can increase deep and rem sleep where 95% of hgh is produced.

Oh I'm aware but I had to keep this elementary for OP. Talking about the studied benefits in gray matter in the hippocampus is a bridge too far.

Bless your heart.

Maybe take a little breath. Appreciate the moment. Lord knows you need some new neuropathways with your shitty logic.

Mindfulness is prayer. It’s prayer as a lifestyle. And Christians could stand to learn a lot from eastern spiritual traditions if they weren’t so closed minded.

And vice versa.

Nope. I can just see the Trojan Horse that leftist progressives are using to indoctrinate kids, or perhaps the poor fools that are grasping for something to replace prayer.

The Trojan Horse of relaxation and a parasympathetic state of mind?

I put that right up there with toddler drag shows personally

No one is stopping them from praying. Or attending church. Or going to Sunday School.

They are using evidence-based practices to lower anxiety and poor stress response in people at a younger age.

Imagine being such a chode that you can’t grasp that it’s a good thing to teach a kid how to self-soothe.

One of the tenants of mindfulness is holding a beginner's mind. Approaching things as if it were the first time with a sense of curiosity and openness to learn and experience. Something the OP could use and certainly something every student from 3 to 103 can benefit from.

I have looked and cannot find any serious research that proves this.

All religions are the same in essence. Dogma is the red herring that has led people away from this truth. Where you were born geographically determines the religious faith of 99% of the people on the planet. People don’t choose their religion. Their parents do.

Not even a white belt in Google-fu I see. Eschewing that because it sounds "Eastern"?
