Yes -‘83. Very good pre-med, pre-law, and business schools.

I know people from a small Christian school that went there. They’re teachers now at that small Christian school. Take it fwiw which ain’t much.

They seem to like it. I wouldn’t send my kids there of course but whatever.

I have a law partner that went to Millsaps under and Emory law. He enjoyed his time there though is was 30 years ago,

I went to a small Southern Liberal Arts school as well and really loved it.

You know most of the students, almost all the classes will be taught by professors with doctorates and the class sizes are mostly very small. The professors will actually know you by name. For years before most of my profs retired, I could go back to campus and professors would call me by name, welcome me into their office and go out for drinks later. I don't know how many times I went out for drinks with the entire History or English dept.

It set me up with a great education and got me into a T-10 law school. My school had very deep ties within the state but less so outside the state so had I only gotten an undergrad degree from there I would have had fewer national opportunities. I would recommend highly ranked small Liberal Arts colleges to anyone planning to get a higher level degree if it is only for undergrad you need to weigh where you want to work and how that college translates in those areas.

The school is expensive. The education is fine.
The student body is small, which makes it easy to rise to the top.
The professors are very engaged and very supportive.
Everyone I knew from there left thinking they were going to be able to change the world or do absolutely anything they wanted to do. They typically had a slightly inflated self-image but definitely weren’t unqualified or overconfident to a significant flaw.
I don’t know anyone who went that didn’t love it.

Just to clarify, there is no law school at Millsaps, there is a law school at MC, a couple of miles away.

Unless you went to an elite school like Harvard or Princeton nobody cares for the most part.

There may be some schools that have a particular study that's considered elite and heavily recruited but otherwise most employers don't care if you went to a school ranked 47th vs 150th.

My sister did.

She is a teacher now and still has student loans.

Money well spent.

Pre law I guess is what I meant. Lot of folks do undergrad at Milsaps and have a high acceptance rate to good law schools.
