All we have is a digital antennae. Use my parent's cable sbuscription to use the watchESPN app on Roku, and have something called MyOutdoorTV for hunting and fishing shows.

Half of the time I'm watching cooking shows and home improvement/woodcrafting shows on LPB anyway.

39 year old bitch at the end has no excuse to be unaware of antennas. Bitch just dumb. Probably has aids from bad decisions.

Except antennas aren't outdated. They have and still do work the same way.

My Grandmom thinks antennas were cut off 10 years ago for good and you can't convince her otherwise.

My mom thinks she can't live without her $200 DirecTV subscription.

Neither of them think they need Netflix and my Grandmom or Aunt don't even know it exist.

My uncle thinks when he post a status on Facebook it's a message to the person he mentions

None of the above even know Amazon exist, and only shop at Walmart.

------------

What is your fricking point? Almost all of my friends have rabbit ears and don't pay for the mafia known as the cable or satellite companies

It sounds to me like the other generations are the ignorant ones to me

Is the myoutdoortv worth the price? Only think I miss about cable is the couple of shows I watched on outdoor channel and sportsman channel.

If you can tolerate not being able to watch it on your TV, sure. I watch it on my tablet, and it's good enough for me.

Supposedly, if you have something more than the Roku Express, you can cast it from your phone to your TV via the Roku.

antennae is pretty useless unless you live in an area where you can pick up a decent number of channels with an indoor antenna.

Wait until they hook them up and realize they get a better picture over the air than through the cable box (provided they can pick up a strong signal).

weird how local stations don't tell you about the wabbit ears when they get cut off by satellite companies during disputes.
The locals don't really want you to use an antenna, either, because they make more money if you watch via cable.

Direct TV got into a dispute with the local NBC affiliate last year during the Olympics and they were dedicating segments on the nightly news to how to install antennas

OK, obviously they would prefer you to watch via antenna than not at all, but they would also prefer you watch via cable vs antenna.

This is such BS spin. "Millennials don't know tv is free." No. Millennials don't use outdated technology. I can watch any live broadcast for free (not just the local channels) online. You don't even have to be good with computers. You literally just type in "watch 'insert title of sports event' stream online free". Look I understand the shite talking towards millennials but this is a stretch. 1/3rd of Millennials don't know how to use an outdated technology they didn't grow up with? SHOCKER!!!

Wtf is this shite. Most millennials I know use a combination of HD antenna/Netflix/Amazon. It's the stubborn arse gen x'ers and baby boomers still paying for cable.

Get off my lawn!

Gotta get that antenna up in the air, baw. Federal law circumvents HOA rules and says you can go up to 12' above the highest point on your home (chimney, for example).
