The office is where I go to avoid my wife and kids. It's not going anywhere.

If its profitable, it will happen. I have doubts and think millenial will bend the acquiescent knee to Daddy.

Your generation did not create the technology that will lead to this. 9 to 5 has long gone by the wayside for successful people. It's more like 7 to 7.

When I leave at 5, it feels like working a half day.

Someday you will have people you need to get away from periodically. Then, maybe you'll understand.

I mean, I like your idea; Ocean, but Jake's right. I'd love to not go to an office and pretend to be busy; but you have to admit your generation is POS.

I would kill for two 20 hour shifts with 8 hours in between.

We're going to end up being the greatest generation after having to save this country from the past 50 years

Meetings are a gigantic waste of time. Seems to be something older generations love.

Have to have them. Have to get together to discuss how to keep our underlings working while we screw off..

I'd probably blow my brains out if I worked at home. I need to get away from the house.

I just started working from home. Only about 3 days a week right now, but full time on January 1. I think I'm going to like it.
Right now, when I need a break, I just go outside on my back deck and sit for a few minutes.

This won't ever include my career, but I would hate to mix work and home. I like a defined separation.

There will be "rentable offices". You don't have to work at home. You go to a nice building downtown, and go to your office and work whenever you want. You can meet clients there, hold meetings, etc... But you pay for that office, not your company. And the offices are occupied by all types of people not just those in your company, leading to increased networking and communication.

So all you idiots who are too shortsighted and horrible at problem solving to understand that flex hours doesn't mean everyone works at home, what's the next issue with flexible hours?
