Were you born in 1981? If so, you are right on the line between GenX and millennial

The difference is what they are doing the other 15 hours they are awake. Sitting on the couch looking at your phone for 2 hours a day will have an impact.

The study controls for that and things like the percentage of the population who has a desk job and so forth.

Caloric deficit/surplus being equal between now and 30 years ago, why would people from today weight a bit more? Not a lot of solid research around that question.

They found a very surprising correlation: A given person, in 2006, eating the same amount of calories, taking in the same quantities of macronutrients like protein and fat, and exercising the same amount as a person of the same age did in 1988 would have a BMI that was about 2.3 points higher. In other words, people today are about 10 percent heavier than people were in the 1980s, even if they follow the exact same diet and exercise plans.

#1 correlation does not equal causation

#2 this has been proven false by over a dozen studies and is 100% false

#3 there is not too much sugar and salt making us fat. Salt doesn't make you fat and is dumb as shite to limit. #2 high sugar vs low sugar makes zero difference once calories and protein are equated

#4 your metabolism does not really slow as you age, only slowing to the tune of slowing bmr by 10-20 calories on average per decade. We just move less

Young people are fat, not because of some bullshite guy microbiome bullshite. They are fat because on average their TDEE is shite due to changes in society and frankly pure laziness. The biggest reason though is due to lack of control due to instant gratification that so many are used to.

Nope, because it’s 100% true. Baby Boomers as a whole are the biggest piece of shite ever produced. Nothing but a generation full of losers.

This so called study relied on self reporting which has been proven to be horribly inaccurate.

Quit being a dumbass, I could eat McDonald's three times a day and not get fat. Hell I could have a big Mac at lunch and dinner plus McDonald's for breakfast and lose a shite ton of fat.

Learn nutrition like an adult before trying to correct people.

Is everyone in the USA a victim?
Is anyone responsible for themselves anymore.
We were the land of the free. It's not someone else's fault if you decide to sit on your arse and whine rather than take control of your life.

You guys are pitiful.
