They are probably doing drills out of Belle Chase Naval Airstation.

Looks more like F-15 than F-18. Navy doesn't fly F-15s. That's an Air Force system.

Then again, looking at it from the rear after it passes over the house it could be a Hornet. I can't get a good peek at the vertical stabilizers in the video.

There are F15s in Belle Chasse.

There are probably more F15s than F18s there actually.

F-22. Nice. I miss being at an F-22 base.

That was an F-15. Pause the video, the trailing edge of the wing is closer to 90 degrees to the fuselage.

Definitely not an F-18. The wing chord is too long (wing too wide).

ahhhh you may be right. This is why my maintainer friends refer to me as a "nonner."

I was curious as to why 22s would be flying out of Belle Chasse.

Those look like F15’s out of the JRB.

Maybe you’re noticing them because you work from home?

There is a retired Hornet pilot that lives on the northshore, Covington I believe. CW Lemoine. Might be some old buddies of his buzzing his house

The guy has a pretty good YouTube channel

Also, those are definitely F-15s
