Nah, just sounds like you've hit a mental wall.

The old mid life crisis time for many.

That's a horrible way to refer to your wife. I'm sure she's a nice lady.

Hitting me hard at 45. It was much better when I exercised all the time but...
1) life is making it harder to get in the gym (work, child, house)
2) injuries were happening more and more often. A tear here. A sprain there

Yep getting to this age sucks. I think mid 40s is when you begin to finally understand what the older guys were always telling us

Sounds like you need more sleep. Has little to do with age. Eat right and exercise.

Honestly I feel you...I cut most sugar from my diet, when i was on keto purely, I had unbelievable energy until I hit a hard wall. (Like mtn bike trail riding) etc.

Mid afternoon I sometimes get in one of the ultra monsters.

Find a way to exercise 45 minutes-hour every day, get more sleep, and if you are over weight, lose it. Its damn difficult. I'm 43 with 2 young kids myself. It will really suck for the few months but eventually you will have more energy and feel better.

I kind of agree with you OP. We are fairly close in age. I don't feel old but I don’t feel as young and spry as I did 6-7 years ago.

I sleep ok most of the time. Just getting older I guess.
