I’m not sure releasing the pic was the best idea. Imagine being locked in room with a bunch of people, see that pop up on your phone and realize he’s sitting beside you likely armed
I also think most of the shots fired calls are fake to get police to respond to their location

There is a picture of the suspect released by the police.
The suspects race was reported by the local police.
It’s not about legal liability or all the other news agencies wouldn’t be reporting it.

In all seriousness the "shot spotters" that BR has every few blocks would nullify almost all of the false reports.
