Yes, I’ve been to Mexico twice and I have a friend who is a Mexican doctor (her dad is also a doctor). Americans still have much more in common culturally with Canada than Mexico. You don’t think language is a huge part of culture? What about food? Religion

Language: Hispanics are the largest minority group in the US. How many people you know outside of Louisiana that speak French.

Food: Bet you can get a burrito in under 20 mins. Try to find some poutine.

Religion: Catholic?

The people in Central America are basically fully indegenous. Mexicans are half white, especially northern Mexicans, which are the ones that populate south texas. They are usually 60-80% white.

You are just racist. It’s ok

Kids today don't take Latin anymore.

In my youth everybody took Latin.

Okay, and English is the first spoken language in the US. It's also the first spoken language of 75% of Canadians.

Go into a random home in Canada, and I bet their food looks a lot more similar to a random home in the US than what is in Mexico.

Does ethnicity play into culture?

Yes.

Fun fact: When I went on a mission trip to build a school in Mexico, the locals would not let their kids talk to us. Told them we were witches, because we were Protestant.

We do not speak English in the USA, we speak a hodge podge of many languages that we call English.

You do realize Canada is not all English. Lots of French dominate parts of Canada.

Ethnicity and Language are by far the most important aspects when defining culture. Every trained anthropologist would agree.

Slim Slap Tiger is a moron who clearly hasn’t traveled much. If you magically woke up tomorrow in any place in Canada not named Montreal you’d probably think you were in the US until you tried to use USD at Tim Horton’s.

In terms of degrees offered by the institution, yes, usually. An undergraduate degree from a university is still a university degree.

What I want to know is why none of the white Mexicans are sneaking across the border.

I thought that Universities were basically colleges that also did research?
