My wife and her sisters play it a lot. We do too when we have all the kids at the house. It is a lot of fun.

My wife even bought a couple of boxes of these holders for them to use when they play.

Not the one you see at the gas station with the 3 cars connected, the domino game.

Anyone else a fan? I swear we killed at least 20-30 hours last week playing while on the family vacation. There were 18 people so at any given time 6 or 7 of us were playing.

It's literally become my new favorite game to play with a group.

I would still believe it's your new favorite game to play with a group, even if you didn't needlessly use the word literally.

I must be the only one who has never heard of any of the games mentioned in this thread except for Canasta, and I have no idea how to play that.

I didn’t even know this was a real game other people played. I thought my neighbors invented it.

It’s fun as hell either way.

Love this game! With the extended family we bust out the double 15 set of dominos. It’s probably my favorite game we play as a family. Bocce ball is another fun one for us as well.

Some nights on the rig we would hit a sand formation and would drill maybe 30-50ft in a 12hr shift. When the tool pusher and company man's lights went out we would break out the dominoes and play that shite all night. Played a ton of Egyptian rat trap as well.

We have a Mexican Train game set that has an annoying button with train sounds. I love pressing that button when I win. My family loves me for that.

I NEED THIS IN MY LIFE IMMEDIATELY.

we would sarcastically call 'uno' when down to a single domino and yes, the trash talking was getting good..even the older folks were getting in on it. "look, i think i only have one domino left"

our sweet family got a little feral there for a minute. having that train button would have been the cherry on top.

i dont know if we made this up or if its one of the 'gray area' variations on the rules but we play so if you put a train up, you CANNOT PLAY ON YOUR OWN TRAIN. you have to 'get out of jail' by playing on the public train or someone else's train in order to remove the train from your own line.

the rules say if there's a train on any line, that's public for everyone but we feel the person who had to put a train on their own line needed more punishment for that. that resulted in a few accidental domino reveals as the person playing forgot they couldn't play off their own line.

good stuff.

Yes! Played it for the first time this weekend with 3 other couples. We have a friend with a house on Lake Gaston on the NC/VA Roanoke Rapids area. We have played this card game with 2 decks for years (don't even know the name of it), but it takes forever and we're drinking and messing up and losing interest.

This game rocks! It's our new favorite, for sure.

You gearing up for a stint in county?
Learn how to slam your last domino so hard you destroy the game, and make everyone pick up the dominos off the floor
