From everything I know, they were a very Christian family up until the divorce, went to church, etc... She was not unhinged like she is now. Something about her husband rejecting her and divorcing her set her off.

I think Kibbles divorce set her over the edge, she was a model wife up until that.

I just woke up one day and wasn't happy. I haven't been happy since. I can see happy in the distance every time I get some free stuff. Help me see happy.

Some guy from the EBRCOA was nominated

James Gilmore

aka Broomes scapegoat with the Brave situation

quote:

One of Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome's top deputies and first hires is resigning from his post as assistant chief administrative officer.

quote:

Broome had tapped Reed to serve on a police advisory committee at the beginning of her administration in January. She announced July 27 that "a member of my staff" — Gilmore — had engaged Reed in a $9,800 BRAVE contract. Broome canceled the contract with Reed, but faced scrutiny for other contracts recently issued for BRAVE as well that were all under the monetary threshold that would have required Metro Council approval.

Strings of emails released by Broome's office show it was Gilmore who worked on lining up a BRAVE contract with Reed and who initiated other contracts for BRAVE as well.

Somewhat unrelated question to all of this. Why doesn't Loupe ever have an opinion on anything? He's rarely there to vote to begin with. Does he give a shite?

He represents a lot of the St. George area. So no, he does not give a shite about that circus. Probably designing campaign signs to be the first St. George Mayor.

Loupe won't be elected SG mayor.

He will get one vote. His wife's. He won't show up to vote for HIMSELF!!!

Did Gilmour show up last night thinking he was going to win the seat? What a frickin idiot.

Who forgot to grease Barb's palms, too?

In his defense, based on the way Lamont Cole haphazardly asked him if he lived in district 8 five seconds before he nominated him, I doubt he was really expecting it.

Holy shite did not realize that's who James Gilmore was. Now I realize why they wanted him so bad.

I had to post Judge Johnson’s comments last night at the council. Judge Johnson has been fighting for justice longer than I’ve been alive. He’s straight to the point and doesn’t mix his words. He’s EARNED the right to speak his truth. He has lived it in ways we can’t imagine.

Jeebus.

Gravy trying to paint Don Johnson as some sort of noble character.

Nothing to it as it, those churches are being vandalized by their own people but they believe it is because of them speaking up

Come on now. The racist OT loves a good church vandalism.

Exactly...grabbing at straws.

Aunt Alton's melt...same thing.

Yes, get behind Golfer. He's an optimist. We need optimists after last nights doom and gloom.

Last night was not doom and gloom.

Last night was a victory for the silent majority of BR who know there isn't irreparable damage or intense racial strife in the city.

There are two extreme wings in the parish who use manufactured racial division and scare tactics to garner power and get their way: the NBR crowd from last night, and the SG fanatics who infest this board.

The majority of EBR residents do not share y'alls views. We don't believe that the end is near.

Tara Wicker was the voice for all of us that are tired of both of these groups' shite.

Eh, I don't think anyone is talking total collapse tomorrow, but I can assure you many people know the city is certainly on a sharp decline. Once there are no political checks in the MC, it's going to snowball.

It may not be the majority, but those that pay taxes are definitely looking to leave.

Gravy, I believe the word you’re looking for isn’t “mix” but rather “mince”. Stupid frick.
