As much as I'd like to see it, SG very likely won't happen. And unfortunately, as we've seen so far, these people are willing to go scorched earth to prevent SG. I don't think the city can rebound from something like that if we continue to have more and more morons motivated by racial revenge placed in positions of power.
The only thing that can save BR is LSU and it is ran by a giant progressive vag. So, no hope there. If Baton Rouge didn't have LSU it would be far worse than Jackson, MS as far as capitals go.

And? You act like LP and AP are inoculated to the disease that's spreading. Sure, your generation should be protected, but your kid's children sure as hell won't be.

I don't think that's even going to help. Even if Kip came back, I think were too far down the road.

But you keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better.
Hope and Change right??

There’s no turning back. Baton Rouge is done.

Golfer is a good dude and has been optimistic about the city. I definitely won't knock him for that. I wish I shared his attitude, but he's the kind of people we need, not what we've been getting.

I know he’s a good dude but at some point you have to be honest with yourself

Wait a second.
In one breath we’re talking about St. George and how it’s happening. But also that the Parish is going to shite and we can’t elect a more common sense leader?
Entirely contradictory based on the numbers and the intended effect of a St. George incorporation.
NBR is done. I get that. But there’s no need to just abandon the rest of the City and Parish because of a shitty 4 year term by Broome.

Haven’t read a Gary article in a while, I’ve forgotten what a horrible writer he is

Golfer, I like your attitude.
Tee it up!!!!!!
SGeans aren't breaking away from the parish, we aren't leaving, we are staying home and trying to improve our lot in life and distance ourselves from cancers like we saw last night.

I haven’t said anything about SG.
But I agree with the rest, I don’t see it happening.

Yes, get behind Golfer. He's an optimist. We need optimists after last nights doom and gloom.

Well, we need more people like him that are willing to put in the effort to make things work. I'll be realistic but be hopeful that someone can come along and do the right thing.

I mean, the guy simply isn't very bright. I'd peg his IQ around 90-95. Not the kind of mind you would want in a leadership position.

I love those who say the SG idea is white flight not realizing that they are describing whats been happening for 30 years as in 'flying' the frick out of here to LP or AP. At least the people of SG want to keep their money in and stay in EBR.
Such fools speaking about something they have no clue about.

That’s cool. Nothing wrong with having a positive attitude
I’m just calling it like I see it.
I guess I’m just used to the incompetence living in nola for so long.
