There were "literally" black agitators trying to take a council seat from its constituents.
If the SG organizers were smart, they'd take that tweet that Chauna sent out about them using this to stop SG and put it on a billboard.

BR folks help me understand wtf is going on here.
The council was there to vote on placing Buddy's wife as a temp to represent the overly Republican district he represented before the time of death until an actual election can be had.
Why are these buffoons huffing and puffing over a district they don't represent?
Why does it matter to them?
Why can't they give supporting data points as to why NBR continues to be a shithole even though a majority of social net programs go to NBR?
Why can they not explain why currently they are failing their own districts and should be more concerned about their own home instead of trying to bring others down with them?

Men and women who live in NBR can join the police force. They just need to get an application and qualify.
If you don't live in BR and are a cop, why should you make me move? Then why should you limit future hires to citizens of BR?
I hire too, and we don't care where they live. We just want qualified individuals.
But if NBR prople feel strongly about hiring their neighbors as cops, I'm not opposed to a drive to encourage qualified people there to apply. Have they tried to do that?

My favorite people last night were the “pastors” that would get up there and insinuate that Buddy did something racist during his time on the council.
As soon as they’d go down that path they’d then say “my condolences to you, Mrs. Amoroso” as if that made it okay

Smart? They have 100s of thousands of dollars in free marketing without even having to lift a finger. Everytime there's a council meeting and Gary says stuff like how white men stand in the way of progress or when he calls the Metro Council a bunch of disrespectful white boys, St. George gets a few more signatures

They decided to game the system and take advantage of the death of a council member. If they didn't get a certain amount of votes for his replacement, then the governor appoints someone. So, 4 members decided to abstain so the remaining 7 had to be unanimous in their vote for his replacement. This was all an effort to have the governor appoint a democrat to a republican district in order to help stop the incorporation of SG.
But, these people are so goddamn stupid that they really thought the governor would stick his neck out for such a ridiculous plan. They basically wasted what political capital they had and showed their true colors by bringing in people from NBR to demand that their preferred democrat be forcefully appointed to a republican district that none of them even live in. So, they did what they always do and said it was racist to have a representative that reflects the political ideology of their own district.

It's the most despicable part of the entire clown show. Clergy members are engaging in that type of behavior and they're being applauded for it.
Sorry, but this city is done. Unless something drastically changes soon, this place will be a complete wasteland in 10 years.
