Look at the number of fatties in that pic. Terrible.

It might have been nice during the 1990s, but the crime is up and all of those shite hole apartments are feeding the decline.

They must mean Metairie in some other state.

I like the fact they used an Old Metry St Paddy's day parade pic...

I refuse to believe that a suburb of Indianapolis is the best place to live in the country.

Everyone, save for a couple of people in that picture is obese.

Did they include Bucktown?
Probably not, because it would be way higher than 27th if they did.

Is Metairie like Mandeville?

Nah. Metairie borders Nola. There are parts that you can drive through and not really even know that you've crossed the parish line. Mandeville is about a 40 minute drive. Jefferson Parish is much better run than Orleans Parish but I wouldn't put it in my top 200 places to live in the US

I know but I really mean like the culture

It's more similar to Nola culture. If you mean culcha, it's much better than Nola but not quite as favorable as Mandeville.

I didn't click the link, but whatever publication came up with this should never be read...by anyone...ever.

IF it was specifically talking about Old Metairie then I would agree. Anything outside Old Metairie/Metairie CC won't make any top list.

I knew when Metairie landed Panera Bread over New Orleans that they were destined for greatness. LOL
