EDIT: Population about 6500, so it's like 30 black dudes and 6 Asian chicks.

Definitely not 30 African Americans here

A friend of mine bought a nice ranch in Montana. I told him I'd be the caretaker. He thought I was joking. I told him I wasn't.

That's what the math says, man. Wikipedia says that in 2010, the population was just over 6300 and 0.5% of 6300 is about 30 black folks.

Is there a Chinese restaurant in town? That six person family would be your 0.1% Asian.

I've lived here and have maybe seen 6 black people in the entire valley... and 4 of those were the same person.

That looks way too fricking cold. Don’t get me wrong, I like to go skiing and shite every now and then, but I’m not interested in being covered in snow 4 months out of the year.

Beautiful! My brother used to live in Montana. The one time I visited in the winter it was too cold for me. It was -16 degrees for a couple of days at Thanksgiving. Watched the "Leon Lett" Dolphins vs Cowboys game on TV up there. Was funny, because I lived in Dallas, was up there, and didn't see any snow. It was so cold, we watched the Billings Christmas parade from inside my brother's office.

That looks like every Hallmark Christmas movie where the stressed out exec needs to get away and rediscover the meaning of love and family.

I love that part of the country from Bozeman to Missoula to West Glacier. As soon as my kids are out of the house and we can retire we hope to make the move up there. If you get some free time drive down to Missoula and check out Bayern Brewing Company.

Spent a week in Whitefish/Glacier in mid-October year before last with family. Had a blast. Glacier was in the process of shutting down for winter but most of it was still open and accessible with slim crowds. Great place to vacation!
