As long as you are over 50 no one will maoe fun of you for wearing them.

If you speak in code and make it harder for people to know what you're talking about you'll get more and better feedback.

They're the most comfortable shoes I own. The break in is rough but after that your feet feel like they belong in them.

I've looked at the iron rangers and moc toes...I just can't get into them and I've heard the break-in period is rough.
Absolutely looking for comfort over style.

Merrell is right up there with hoka. People that buy them have absolutely no care in the world what they look like.

They're a high quality shoe, especially for the cost. Definitely comfortable. They're not a safe on-site shoe for safety. Soft everything.

While I won't wear them to work I am on the waitlist for a pair of Jim Green African Ranger barefoot (zero drop) boots that are a collab with Rose Anvil.
They are designed with all-day comfort and durability in mind along with the ability to repair them. It will be hard (impossible?) to find a better-made boot for the price.

I'll never roll my jeans.
I do think they will look solid with chinos or jeans though.
I'm in multi-family commercial brokerage so I don't need them for anything heavy but definitely want something comfy that translates from office to site where I'm typically doing a lot of walking.

Friend,
If you can get Jim Greens, this is a no brainer. Vibergs are not a bad alternative, although more expensive, and they are faithful to their lifetime warranty. My roommate in boarding school was an avid hiker and he had his resoled by the company at no charge. I prefer Timberland to Merrill.

I like'em. I have a pair at the camp (can't remember the brand) that look like them.
