Mercedes Benz Stadium to start ticketing with facial recognition software

Yeah, I wonder where this is going to end:
In ten years, assuming we haven’t nuked ourselves into an oblivion or the virus from hell escapes from that lab in Wuhan, there will be pretty much literally nowhere you can go to hide. Ann Frank still had the attic, but there’s no way in hell she could have hid there for 10 fricking minutes with today’s technology.

Last couple of times I came back into the country they didn't even look at my passport. It was all facial recognition. Time before last, I didn't even speak to a Customs officer. You just stood on a spot on the floor and then the gate opened and let me pass. Crazy.

I've been to 2 concerts in Japan in the last few months that have used a similar system. They market it as a way to prevent secondary ticket sales and track for the rona.
I wasn't keen on it, but since it was being run by the event company and not the government, I went ahead.
Entry into the venues was quite easy but I would have preferd a ticket like it was the times before
