I'm old, and "old school". Do you know what would have happened to a "boy" who decided he wanted to play on a girls sports team back in the say 80's or before?

Instead of DOING something about it, administration’s solution will be to require all players to wear face masks like the goalies do. Doesn’t even look like that “slap shot” was even directed anywhere near “at the goal”. Nothing to see here.

If the ball was hit at higher velocities than average for female field hockey due to biological differences, yes. It's like arguing a woman tackled by the same person due to a football game is a normal injury because it is a legal hit
