Variety in weather is good for the soul.
That’s a good thing about Texas mostly, with the exception of the annual summer march through hell.

just think about the billions of people across the world that have way more problems than you. that might give you some perspective.

I'm full of anxiety, depressed, and somehow making it all work.

Helping someone else is actually the best advice. It's what I was taught to do.

Go for a walk daily, hit the gym if you can, and stay away from Alcohol.
I guarantee you will at least feel better after doing that for a week.

Make a list
Do the list
Accomplishments reaffirm self worth
You're not a victim so don't watch cable news
Non of it from either side ---that shite will depress you

This.
Being depressed is what happens when your brain chemistry is all out of whack.
The human body is amazingly resilient. But you need to unf*ck your chemistry first. Daily Exercise, Diet, and rest will get you 80% there.

Okay, serious answer.
In late 2003-mid 2004 I took a long walk through the deepest, darkest pits Hell has to offer.
Bad divorce in October '03, lost my job 13 days before Christmas '03 (I had kids). Best friend since I was a kid dies of a heart attack at a young age and leaves a wife and 3 kids in Feb. '04.
You're afraid to go to sleep...because the 'blackness' is coming. It's going to envelope you again as soon as you close your eyes. It's the worst nightmare you can imagine. It's just waiting on you to try and find a break with sleep.
All I could do was remember what an old Indian (feather) I worked with told me once when things were rough.
"A buffalo always faces the storm. It's hard, but it's the best way to weather the storm. Face the storm, young man"
Act like a buffalo. Hit it head on. You can't run. There is nowhere to hide.

Got a little ripped on the beach here in the DR last night, so hangover blues.
No chemicals today, gym, and some long walks.
